Hacking m3 dumper tool

Okay, so I want to know if its possible to backup your own commercial DS roms rather than try to find them on some website. I found this dumper tool here: http://www.dualscene.net/viewpage.php?page_id=40. I have a m3 simply and m3 lite flashcarts but i couldnt get it to work. Any other ideas?

to the best of my knowledge, that tool requires you to have a flashme'd ds and a compact flash version of the m3 in order to dump titles. it works pretty good, as I've used it on more than one occasion.

AFAIK reinmoon is for saves only.

yep, but will it work? I really wanna find some way to backup my nds games and saves like my gba games.

edit 1: Okay so it looks like neither reinmoon nor the nds dumpers work. How sad :'(. Maybe Im doing something wrong? But i am not planning to flash my ds lite. Well, I do own an old CF supercard. Will that work without flashing? This will be a little disapointing if i cant find a way to do this. Trying to find online roms is pretty messy sometimes.

nope, your ds needs to be flashme'd in order for it to work. that was the first mistake that I made way back when, when I couldn't figure out why the dumper program wasn't working.

Okay, i suppose i could flash my old ds phat and use the CF supercard in conjuction with the m3 simply. Im concerned though with the bricking. How big is the risk? Could someone post a link on how to do this safely with an old DS? Thanks for all this support for newbi DS rommer.

Reinmoon works like a charm on my M3 Lite. I don't know where I got it, but the filename is ReinMoon_M3SD_M3_SD.nds . Did you get one for your flashcard?

Btw, I also have savsender 1.1 on my M3 Simply, that works too. It should also work on a Slot 2 card. It sends saves through WiFi, though I don't know if that's an option for you...

I'm thinking when i get the chance, i'll just flash the DS phat. hopefully the m3 dumper tool will work then.

M3 dumper is archaic, it wouldn't have DLDI.

well okay then, whats the newest nds dumper tool avaible that people have used successfully. I so wanna backup my roms and saves without the need of a third party website.

Not very surprising as the G6 was not reverse engineered for filesystem access until relatively recently.
