Hacking M3 DS Simply

My M3 DS Simply is starting to freeze on me. This happens on almost every game, and it's random. I'm wondering if it could be the MicroSD card or the M3 DS Simply? Is there any way to fix this problem? It's kind of annoying, especially because if you play long sessions you run the risk of losing everything if you forget to save or if you can't save (no save point).

Backup your data then format your card see if that will fix it.

Giving that a try right now, so far a day without freeze. If a week goes by and no freeze I'll assume fix. Problem with random freezes is you never know if it really is fixed
