ROM Hack M3 1.05 & AR brightness cheat no work

I have M3 simply and I just installed the new firmware and I have AR bightness controll cheats in my cheat.dat file, and if I have it enabled during a game when I press L, R, select the game freezes. I wonder if this has to do with cheats being able to be enabled disabled by pressing L, R, start and up or down button.
Is anyone else having this issue?

also some games freeze so does it really matter if u can hav these cheats to turn backlight levels?
just restart your ds unless you are a lazy bum and cant do anything (unless it takes 5 minutes to save XD)

That code is likely one of those Exclusive codes that only work on the real action replay. Maybe try the Nitro-Hax version.

no it worked fine on 1.04 version. I don't need the cheat, but I like having it. And sometimes in certain game some scenes are darker than others, so it is nice to make the screen a little bright for that issue.
