makerom only accepts "Legacy", "124MB", and "178MB" for New3DS memory modes. Legacy makes it use the memory mode for Old.Can you try booting a 96 MB cia on New 3DS? If it runs then the patch possibly needs fixing, I think.
Wait, how do i update a9lh? I don't know if i can buikf a new installerà because i can''t fine anymore my otp.Holy shit, that's so cool! Thanks Aurora!
You gonna update to the new version of A9LH now, or will you still stay on the current version? I'll probably end up updating it, as a lot of the initial issues seem to be fixed now.
So if you set 96 MB as the Old3DS memory mode and "Legacy" as the New3DS one it works?makerom only accepts "Legacy", "124MB", and "178MB" for New3DS memory modes. Legacy makes it use the memory mode for Old.
in any case, it boots unless the memory mode is 178MB for New. so...
the only time it would reboot is if the memory mode is 178MB. it works any other time, including Old being 96MB and New being "Legacy". probably because it doesn't reboot unless it's 178MB, which would then disable the Home Menu.So if you set 96 MB as the Old3DS memory mode and "Legacy" as the New3DS one it works?
If it also freezes on 96 MB with Old 3DS it could be two things:
- NATIVE_FIRM needs to be launched differently for the "biggest" RAM mode (and the patch doesn't account for that)
- The apps need to have adjustments in the code (but then, a 96 MB cia would fail on N3DS, wouldn't it?)
SystemMode : 96MB # 64MB(Default)/96MB/80MB/72MB/32MB
SystemModeExt : Legacy # Legacy(Default)/124MB/178MB Legacy:Use Old3DS SystemMode
the 178MB memory mode "should" be usable, but I don't know if anyone knows how to use it yet.Does anyone have time to explain this in very simple terms please?
I don't understand what it means and am unsure weather to upgrade from 3.5.3
Thanks in advance

also, if you use it through menuhax or anything that isn't a9hl, the 3D bug won't happen.
it's like the 80MB memory mode SSB4 uses on Old3DS. it allows more memory to be used for games, at the expense of the internet browser and Miiverse.what is the the "178MB memory mode" please ? would I be using this in normal use ?
i don't use menuhax at all, only using a9lh now
sorry for the questions and thank you for replying to me

178MB for New3DS is basically the same, only Home Menu also doesn't run. 96MB on Old3DS does this too.
one thing that it could be used for is emulators with large roms.
- A whole new reboot patch (thanks to a skilled reverser for this). It works on New 3DS (for as of yet unused large RAM modes), doesn't break GBA and DS games (no more choosing to press A or not on Old 3DS), gets disabled automatically with 9.0 FIRM to make exploits work.
- Because of the new reboot patch, now N and O3DS share the same "rei" folder.
Finally the reboots patches are working without problems, it's going to be my main CFW nowhttps://github.com/AuroraWright/AuReiNand/releases/tag/v3.6
Now to update the first post!
- Full support for a future screen-init-enabled A9LH payload.
