I already tried that.
It's the first point the Troubleshooting page.
I alreayd went through all points in that page and still nothing. :/
However, apparently the guide says that if at Step 4 the 3DS reboots when I press A, then I'm not bricked, and that's what I get.

When you installed a9lh did it worked well for some time? Try to make a Nand Restore (with hourglass)

Yeah it did work without any issue until today.
I am already at 50% of the NAND restoration process with Hourglass9, I'll see what happens after that and hopefully I can pinpoint what the issue really was if I get it working.

WHAT THE FUCK?!

The NAND restore didn't do anything!
It still stays in a black screen!!!

How is that even possible?!

Very Strange. I'm sorry, but I can't help you any further. Maybe @Aurora Wright can help you, since she is the brilliant mind behind Luma.

I give up for today.
I don't know what to do anymore.

I tried the following on my N3DS sysNAND 11.0 with Luma3DS (A9LH):
  • Using SaltFW
  • Several versions of Luma3DS (5.2, 5.5, latest commit)
  • Dumping CTRNAND, defragmenting it and injecting it back after defragmentation.
  • Restoring my previous sysNAND backup (post A9LH one).
  • Restoring sysNAND from way back before the A9LH setup (Original sysNAND Pre-A9LH).
  • Injecting the previous hs.app back into the console.
  • Using the merged screen-init a9lh commit.
  • Using the noscreeninit A9LH.
  • Every step listed here: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/w...n-sysnand-boot-after-installing-arm9loaderhax (At Step 4, Pressing A does shut down the N3DS)
NOTHING WORKS!
I keep getting a black screen after the splash image, no matter what I do. :/

@Aurora Wright you're my only salvation.
I initially posted what I did here:
http://gbatemp.net/threads/luma3ds-noob-proof-3ds-custom-firmware.411110/page-703#post-6514839
I don't recall doing anything else outside of that.

How is it that not even a NAND restore is working? :/
What else can I do to try to get this to work?

Quick Question: I have BootAnim9 installed, if I needed to update Luma, how would I do so? (I have StarUpdater already, just curious if there's other ways to do it w/o renaming payloads and pathing them every update)

I just fixed my problem...
By removing the cart I had in the cart slot. O.O

How would that affect or have anything to do with the boting process?
@Aurora Wright any insight on this? I'm interested in knowing why would that have any effect.

So, I have a n3ds that I installed a9lh on back in March. It currently boots to aureinand emunand. How could I switch to luma and use sysnand instead of emunand?

I was using CakesFW before trying Luma3DS. Everything worked fine.
Now my DS and DSi games don't work at all.
Yes, I tried to restore the original TWL and AGB firm, both from 3DSNUS AND from the official System Update on System Settings.
None of them works.

Luma3DS says that it can patch AGB and TWL frim on the fly, but it's not working for me at all.

Any help on this issue?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found what the issue was.
For some reason the AGB and TWL patches do not work if you use another payload.
I was using Bootanim9's "arm9bootloader.bin". Tried using the original luma3ds one and it works now.

(Sorry if this is in the wrong thread.)
My desired end result is the one following Plailect's guide.

Okay, so I have an n3ds using lumaCFW v5.5 with sysnand 11.0 and emunand 11.0 with A9LH installed on sysnand. I have access to decrypt9WIP, emunand9, luma3ds configuration menu and hourglass9 ready on boot. The problem is that I don't have access to FBI or an entrypoint to the homebrew launcher, and don't have any 9.2.0 NAND backups for this system. I'd be willing to revert to stock and start over, but is this even possible? Or is it safe to restore a 9.2.0 nand backup to emunand from a different n3ds?

Use Decrypt9 to inject FBI into your Health & Safety app. You can either install it on your emuNAND or sysNAND, no need to go back to 9.2.

It fails when I try dump health&safety or inject a previous fbiinjectwithbanner with either sysnand or emunand. i'll grab some pictures after they're done sending to my pc.

You are getting this error due to not having "slot0x25KeyX.bin" on the root of your SD Card
