I really wish I could help...even when I was using emuNAND (now I'm on an updated sysNAND) I don't think I remember anything like that happening. What sort of 3DS do you have? Is it possible that you're hitting the SD card and jogging it out of place slightly, making the 3DS freak out? :P (if you're on a New 3DS this is probably not likely). Other than that, if you felt like trying it and have a9lh, you could try running off of sysNAND for a while (it's pretty easy to switch back and forth).

If sysNAND didn't do it than I'd say it's very likely something to do with the SD card as you are thinking...though it's a bit hard to narrow it down from there.

Thanks for the attempted response! :) Uhm, I'm running with an O3DS (Soon to be N3DS XL, it's getting shipped out today by tony_93!! :D)
I didn't touch the O3DS so it couldn't have been that I bumped the SD. :P
Maybe it's a technical bug with Luma? Or, as I said, it might be that sleep mode just stops reading from the SD card after a while and therefore crash on emuNAND.

Maybe its a a9lh emunand bug as I never had that happen with menuhax and an emunand. I have seen a few a9lh users with emunands say they have that issue though.

Does anyone have an answer for that earlier question about leaving the lid closed for a period of time and is there a solution? What would cause of that? It's happened multiple times but not to the point where it makes me reboot 10-15 times to get it fixed.
For the small comments/questions about battery drain on emuNAND, it's probably because the SD card is being read/written to the whole time it's asleep. :P

I'd venture that after a while the 3DS is like "I'm not dependent on reading from the SD card, it'd save me lots of battery if I didn't" and stops. Therefore it crashes.
I had the same problem earlier today on my new 3DS (with arm9loaderhax + luma) and a few days ago. Never experienced ever using menuhax+Gateway or rxTools. I open the console to find a black screen, then restart it to find the same thing. I don't remember what I did the other day to fix it, but today it worked when I removed my ds flashcart (Gateway blue card). It's probably purely coincidental that it worked after that, but might be something to investigate or try again. I think it might have also affected menuhax's boot rate, but again, I haven't tried it enough times to make any meaningful conclusions.

It's confirmed happening on both A9LH and Non-A9LH now. :P
Yeah, well, it's happened multiple times but not to where it practically bricks my emuNAND through 10 - 15 reboots. xD Thank you for sharing though. :)

Right on! thanks a lot!

BBM is just DevMenu 6.2 with a different banner. It should work as readily as DevMenu 2x (plus it's a newer version, can delete CIAs, etc.). It's working for me. So you might just need to reinstall it. If it still won't work after that, it could be a sign of corruption.

If you have an extra SD card laying around, you could try installing BBM on that. First I would install NAND DevMenu (you need an installer that will still be there when you switch cards), put Luma and the BBM CIA on the card, and let it create a new "Nintendo 3DS" folder. Then install BBM. If it works, backup, format, and restore your primary card.

It would probably be easier just to tell you to format the card, but it's a time-consuming process, so I thought you might want to be certain it actually is the card first.

Actually, if NAND DevMenu 6.2 works alright, you might just keep that and delete BBM. It's the same thing, only more permanent, being in NAND. Useful for if you ever want to use multiple cards. It's also one of my favorite shortcuts, being a GW owner (whenever a guide says to inject FBI, I just install that using the BBM ROM).

There is actually a newer ver of devmenu out v11.* iirc

Indeed. Only catch is, IIRC, it requires 10.x to run. So, it wouldn't work on a 9.x or below NAND. Not a good choice for an A9LH install (especially on a 4.5 unit). But that is in the same thread. Find one, find both. Haven't tried it yet. I've been meaning to.

Sorry, what I mean is there any to swap reinand with luma3ds as the main custom firmware or do I need to uninstall reinand so that I can install luma3ds.

Is there a way to switch reinand with luma3ds?

No need to "switch" per se (unless you're running ReiNAND as arm9loaderhax.bin, in that case, you'll need to move it to "luma/payloads" and rename it). You can keep it as a backup. I run all 3. Anyway, there's an installation guide linked on the first page. It should work regardless of what you're currently using. You shouldn't need to replace anything unless you're using A9LH. In which case you will replace arm9loaderhax.bin. Though if you're using a boot manager, you will have to change the name of the .dat file in the configuration file. I could give more details if I knew what setup you have. A9LH/MenuHax, boot manager/HBM, etc.

Is it fine to run it on rei emunand current firmware?

An EmuNAND is an EmuNAND (unless you own a Gateway, they don't support RedNAND, and after nearly getting stuck on 2.1, neither do I). All CFWs use the same EmuNAND format. The format is standardized. There are no CFW-specifiic EmuNANDs. CFWs do not modify EmuNAND. The EmuNAND is a (mostly) unmodified copy of the original firmware. The CFWs do all of their patching in memory. They can all use the same one without any issues, if that's what you're getting at. Luma will be able to use your existing EmuNAND just fine.
