Thanks for the link!

Since i already have my emuNAND set up, does that mean i could skip the creation of it in the guide or there's something weird and new that i don't have yet?

I suggest you start from scratch. This guide uses Rednand instead of Emunand. The guide is straight forward, just make sure to read every step.

I guess that's what i will do. The only thing i'm kinda worried about is my old H&S app injection that may or may not be screwed up and i don't remember which one of the dumps i made is the original.
Will work on it later today

Rednand/Emunand it really doesn't matter. Especially since they have an o3ds. It'd be a waste of time basically to convert.

Taken from the Get Started section of the guide:

"If you already have a CFW setup on any version between 9.0.0 and 9.2.0, change menuhax to type 1, set your menuhax trigger to D-Pad down, then start the guide at Part 4. Note that anywhere "RedNAND" is mentioned, you can pretend it says "EmuNAND" instead as they are very similar and the instructions will be the same other than that."

There is really no need to start from scratch. I've migrated 2 rxtools+menuhax systems to A9LH just fine.

I'm confused because I have AL9H using updated sysnand mode and everywhere I read it says it's ok for users with AL9H Luma to update to 11.0 sysnand but in this thread there's mention that retroarch will stop working on 11.0? I have installed the .cia versions of various emulators and I would like them to continue working after update. So should I stay on 10.7?
You don't need firmware.bin anymore, the latest commt of Luma3DS restores the dynarec support. Feel free to update to 11.0.

Can anyone help me with this?
I'm having a problem booting Luma3DS 5.4 using browserhax/menuhax, the lower screen just flashes red but nothing happens after that.
It successfully loads once on initial start up every time I delete the config file, but it doesn't show if I'm on an EmuNAND when I check the system settings after every successful boot up.

I'm trying to install the arm9loader hack on my 3DS and I've succesfully followed this guide until step 23 on this part: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-3-(RedNAND)
And now I'm currently stuck because of that problem above.
I've already tried restarting that RedNAND part of the guide 3 times, but the same problem still occurs.

I'm currently on 9.2J, if that helps sorting out the problem.

Thanks in advance. :)

Update:
Tried holding Select when selecting Luma3DS on Homebrew Loader, it works and takes me to config, but when I press Start to save and reboot, it still doesn't say that I'm on Emu in System Settings.

This is my first time trying to use a CFW for 3DS, and I followed the whole guide up to this point, so I'm not really sure what I did wrong.
Any help and advice is really appreciated.

I done this, you need to start back with the sysnand you made as your first backup after downgrading, restore the emunand with the sysnand.bin

Another probably stupid question: can i restore my NAND from a backup done with Decrypt9WIP without a hardmod?

reread it. It was updated a bit for people like you. Rednand and Emunand are the same thing (pretty much).

The following applies to all devices:

If you already have a CFW setup on any version between 9.0.0 and 9.2.0, change menuhax to type 1, set your menuhax trigger to D-Pad down, then start the guide at Part 4. Note that anywhere "RedNAND" is mentioned, you can pretend it says "EmuNAND" instead as they are very similar and the instructions will be the same other than that.

If you have an arm9 access (with a9lh, or 9.2 firmware for example), then yes!
actually arm9 access doesn't matter one bit. You could flash a nand backup long before a9lh was even a thing...

and wait... the guide tells you to move your 2.1 emunand to sysnand (after verifying that it boots... at least in the case of n3ds) in the first place. That should be a pretty darn big clue...

Yes. Did you ever pay attention to what you were doing? Have an N3ds model? You flash a 2.1 emunand to sysnand... before you can get your OTP to even have a9lh.

People have been doing it with the GW menu for YEARS now (that's all arm11 hax, by the way, and where the homebrew scene started in the first place).

So long as your sysnand is on 9.2 you can flash your nand with a nand.bin with Decrypt9, Emunand 9, Otp helper, etc

You don't need to start TOTALLY from scratch. Start at Part 2 (Downgrading). Since you're already on 9.2 sysNAND the general order of operations will be something like this: Back up everything -- (temporarily) downgrade firmware -- grab otp.bin -- restore backups -- install A9LH -- move emuNAND to sysNAND -- install Luma3DS. The guide explains it better than I can, obviously.

CTR card region-free gets supported but FreeMultiPatcher crashes on Luma.
Is it a known issue?
umm... why on earth do you need FMP with Luma? You don't. For any reason. Unless you feel like you can't update your emunand (or sysnand if on a9lh) to 11.0.0-33, in which case your reason is invalid.
