But that would be weird, because I'm not familiar with GW but assuming their launcher is using ARM9, then it would be able to overwrite FIRM0/1 even with patches...

Btw I expect (hope) to see at least some testing and comparisons of the clock speed stuff with NTR when I wake up

I tested it with MGS3D. Found a spot where I could constantly spin the camera and the FPS would drop at the same point on each revolution. Increasing clock speed/L2 with NTR makes the framerate (almost) constant the whole way around. Unfortunately the clock setting in the latest ARN beta didn't make any noticeable improvement to framerate. This is with 10.7 sysNAND.

@Aurora Wright so i've been testing the clock speed option in Pokemon Omega Ruby. On my N3DS with A9HL it doesn't work. Battles lag like hell as before. So i've tried using NTR with Pokemon and it is lagfree so it must be something with AureiNand well more specificly the new Clock Speed Option. I also tried the new Option with my firmware.bin file on the SD and without aswell. No changes.

I'm using sysnand mode. Would be nice if you could fix that

Update; Its perfect! Please don't change it I'm pretty sure this actually performing better than NTR now, Sonic All Stars Racing is full fps which is awesome because that was the only issue with that game. NTR improved this game but this fix you just posted seems to cure it!

wait, so using GW card could actually mess up my 3ds in some way ? i am not using any other type of cards.. so why would it do that?

one thing i have to say though, is that i use some updated files on my blue card, nds firmware from some other cards which has a better interface and emulators in it etc.

i would not want to run into that type of error on my other 3ds'es, that shit scared me, i have seriously doubts that it was caused by my blue GW card, maybe it was my mSD that did that? it is a 4gig mSD came with the console when i first had it.

Gateway released some bricking code a while ago that bricked people who used Gateway clones. Problem was it also bricked people who changed their Launcher.dat in any way, so it bricked people with real Gateway cards also. That being said, i don't believe that blue card caused it, as iirc the bricking code was only for the red card.

Gateway put code in their fw that bricks 3ds's(they may have removed it) and it was to fuck over people who used clones, but there was reports of people with legit gateways bricking because of it also.

Something I find funny, people always talk shit about how the gateway is better than the sky cards. But sky never bricked a bunch of people's 3ds's because they where butt hurt over clones. Sky can be used in place of having an actual exploit game, gateway can't. Sky can work on any fw without anything done to the 3ds, gateway can't.
