Btw I expect (hope) to see at least some testing and comparisons of the clock speed stuff with NTR when I wake up

I have tested this on a number of games that are known to have frame rate issue, as far as I can tell it seems to be working

Press Select at boot, then enable it (should be called run CPU at max or something).

I think there's something wrong with it...it doesn't seem like it's really working. I haven't done extensive testing though, but Senran Kagura and the demo of that Minecraft like 3DS game Cube Creator didn't seem to have any difference (in Cube Creator clocking up the CPU with HANS makes a huge difference in FPS and loading speed of the world. Makes it a really good game to test with actually, it hits the 3DS pretty hard. The performance definitely isn't increasing like that with this AuReiNAND patch unfortunately).

I haven't done extensive testing though, but Senran Kagura and the demo of that Minecraft like 3DS game didn't seem to have any difference (the Minecraft like game, clocking up the CPU with HANS makes a huge difference in FPS and loading speed of the world, I didn't really see that here though).

I've checked both Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Senran Kagura Burst and I am not too sure I am seeing a big improvement over NTR. Senran Kagura runs a lot smoother using NTR, but with the new ARN option, I am not seeing the same level of smoothness. I couldn't really tell much from Pokemon, but I think the ARN option made things a bit better. Maybe. I don't have the best eye with these things, unless it is some SERIOUS lag. I also tested the ARN option in Code of Princess, which is an absolute lag-fest in most sections and it seemed to smooth some stuff out, but again, NTR provided a bit smoother of an experience I think.

I almost feel like we need someone with a capture card to get some footage of a game running at the normal clockspeed, then with NTR's maxspeed and then ARN's maxspeed, but that's probably a tall order.

Just FYI, I set up a website that compiles the latest commit of ARN at astronautlevel2.github.io/AuReiNand

It compiles it hourly, so it should be pretty up to date

I did another test; Sonic all stars racing (frame-rate is normally horrible) Anyways, big improvment with latest AuReiNand but NTR does seem to have a slightly higher framrate when maxed out. You can tell in the 1st race when the wheels are coming at you in 3D!!

Yeah, this is pretty weird...you'd think if the CPU is being clocked up (etc etc) it would be the same as in NTR where that's also happening. You should try the demo for that Minecraft like game (Cube Creator 3D, I remembered after I first made the post). The demo's free of course, and it hits the 3DS really hard. It's really easy to tell the difference between regular and New 3DS speeds on it. I've never used NTR, but it's weird how the difference is obvious in HANS but not so with the ARN option.

Well, just an observation that may help in identifying the culprit, I noticed when I use NTR I can no longer use CIA homebrew but with AuReiNand - Max Clock I can still use homebrew CIA.

Maybe NTR is utilizing something extra that requires sacrificing homebrew functionality?
