Exactly what's the file I need to use for "
  • Added a flag to skip decrypting and patching FIRM and use the already patched ones, for a slightly faster boot and to avoid writing 1 MB to SD on each boot. Warning!: You MUST remove the patched firmwares in the rei folder after switching from a non-A9LH usage to A9LH. You have been warned! Original idea and patch by @Fix94."?
Guessing it's "/rei/usepatchedfw" but I don't know for sure...

Thanks, and just because of the warning it gave exactly how do I know it's safe? I just reinstalled AuReiNAND so I am good right?
well you really only need to clear it if in the changelog a new version gets out which suddenly adds some new firmware patch/modifies an old one.

Question: Do (can) Nintendo future updates contain updated firm0 and firm1 versions? In other words, can we loose the AL9H functionality by upgrading sysnand? Or will these updates be blocked by AL9H?

No. AuReiNAND blocks writing to Firm0 and firm1. It should not be possible to overwrite a9lh if you use AuReiNAND. Though they might find some "hacky" way to kill us.

I inverted both emunand and sysnand CTRNAND partition and I'm now booting directly to sysnand. No more problem with VC games.

Small question, would it be possible to boot firmware90.bin with sysnand 10.6 in order to use old exploits? (be able to launch Decrypt9 without launching emunand for example?)
I don't even know if it is (in technical term) possible or if there is a huge incompatibility.

Anyway, it is working great with Sysnand, I now have a real cold boot into CFW, it's just the same as having no hack at all. The main difference is that I can install custom CIA (really enjoyable to launch Homebrew Launcher right after pressing the power button) or some Smash DLC. :P

That's not possible firmware90.bin (FIRM 9.0) will not be able to load firmware 10.6, your only option is setting up 9.2 emuNAND

What about that Decrypt9 that loads when you hold X? I don't have 9.2 emunand, it still launches

It's loading straight off boot. Firm doesn't matter because the system isn't even running yet. Last I checked that version is still limited in what it can do though.

If it can backup/restore nand and generate xorpads -- it's perfectly good for me

Sounds like your using a bootmanager along with a a9lh version of D9, thing is the a9lh versions can't generate Xorpads, you needs 9.2 firmware and FIMR 9.0 to do so.

The a9lh D9 is good to restore and backup sysNAND/emuNAND that's all

Is it possible to disable forcing of boot options on A9LH without the need to press A everytime I reboot my console?

That sounds nice do you have a link to that version or even better the thread it is in?
I only have a version of decryp9 out of the arm9loader technical details and discussion thread which can´t generate xorpads.

The latest version from the official github page works. https://github.com/d0k3/Decrypt9WIP/releases You just need to find the bin files yourself.

Guys, don't blame me.
I'm going to update a O3DS sysnand 7.X to AuReinand.. But I'm completely lost.
How Can I set up this beast? No need of all hax stuff, just CN or mset exploit is ok.
I have firm.7z and the latest AuReiNand 3.7.3.
Thanks!!! :)
