Lol, thats the one i tried but when i got to step 8....

Stage 2: Downgrade EmuNand to 9.2

1. From sysnand, launch hax and run MiniPasta
2. When back at sysnand, launch hax and run EmuNAND9
3. Choose “EmuNAND Manager Options” and then choose “Clone SysNAND to EmuNAND”
4. Once this is complete, press START to reboot
5. From sysnand, launch hax and run TinyFormat to format SysNand and unlink NANDs
6. Once the system reboots, complete the initial setup without linking NNID
7. Once you are at the home menu, set your sysnand theme to red
8. Launch hax and run CFW to get into emunand

I couldnt get a cfw to run, when i loaded homebrew launcher and select to launch ReiNand.3dsx it just to just freeze on a red screen. How did you manage to get past that step??

Way faster boot time, 100% boot rate, and you can update sysNAND if you want to.

I've got new 3ds on reinand currently and old 3ds on rxtools, will it be straight forward following a tutorial to convert them to using AL9 hax and aureinand?

The guides are pretty straightforward IMO, I already got 2 o3DS running ARM9LoaderHax without any problems during the setup. If you follow the guides properly, you won't find major issues IMO.
Basically, you need to follow this to get your OTP, then this to make your ARM9LoaderHax installer. After that just install it and get AuReiNAND.

Thanks, this worked. Now I do get a screen (for like less than a second) and it disappears.. It's not correct though. I'll check if the splash screen is valid
Edit: Yeah it was the bad splash.bin I guess. Another one worked

I can't get custom themes to stick after reboot with A9LH. Using Howling Theme Tool or CHMM2 lets me use custom themes, but when I turn the system off and back on, it's back to default again. Any ideas?

is there a in depth guide for a user with a o3ds on sys nand 4.5 and using a gateway with up to date...? i never used rxtools or any armloader, but i like the idea of autobooting into emunand....

firmware.bin and firmware90.bin. Make sure to use the one for your system (o3ds or n3DS).
