Hacking Luma3DS - Noob-proof 3DS Custom Firmware

I'm using ReiNand on a N3DSXL and having some issues with the Super Stable 3D as well as inconstant boot attempts etc.

I'm thinking of over to moving to this using the guide on this forum, swapping sysnand and emunand using armloader9.

Would doing that help with the Super Stable 3D, its getting annoying moving my head and getting blurry or double images frequently.

I loved the feature on normal sysnand.

Or should I use Cakes as that seems a fix for this feature?

Did you try just closing the lid and opening it again?

Yea I know that trick as it boots up without 3D working and double images but the super stable doesn't seem to be working as well as it can trying to play Majoras Mask earlier was very annoying.

The CFW is just a loader right I can change between them without any issues and keep my emunand intact as is and just swap out the loader between the different ones?

I'm not sure if your problem with super stable 3D is the same issue. As far as I know, we can only fix the initialisation, not how well it actually works.

Yeah, most CFW can share the same emuNAND.

Close and open the screen, it'll fix the 3D.

Try cleaning your screen... If it's oily it will blur.

I really would like to start using this CFW with my A9LH set-up, but I don't even want the ability to get into sysNand. If you could add an option to never boot sysNand that would be greatly appreciated. I was using this CFW until I opened my 3ds one time and Sysnand was booted. Obviously it did this because the L button was accidentally held down. (Ps, I do not want to update my sysnand even if I can still use A9LH)

Just setup menuhax on your sysNAND with Type 2 and the A+B+Up+L+R keys and make it automatically reboot the 3DS

It's possible to install dsi cias on sd? Or increase twl nand size?

Finally joined the A9lh gang, and used this. Everything worked beautifully. Thanks for the mod

The only thing I would personally like to change (using regular setup), is to switch around the functions. So I would like:

Do Nothing (Autoboot) --> Change to R
R -----> Change to L
L -----> Change to Do Nothing (Autoboot)

I looked at the firm.c file, and my guess is that I have to change lines 130 to 132. Not sure what to change though. Could you help with this?

Is the latest version compatible with the a9lh version of bootctr? I used to be able to press A to launch Decrypt9WIP.bin, now it just boots in emunand anyway
edit: nvm, i forgot i needed bootctr's arm9loaderhax.bin in root

I wonder if it could be possible to have multiple splash screens; splash screen would depend on which key you press during boot. For example, normal boot would be regular splash.bin. If I hold R, I could have a splash screen saying "Booting sysNAND with 10.x FIRM", L Key "Booting sysNAND with 9.x FIRM"

I think that also don't place the file called "firmware90.bin" into the "rei" folder should work to avoid the launch of the sysNand.

Hey, thanks again! Realized with my custom setup, I had broken emunand loading now. This little tidbit fixed me up. Now autoboot is sysnand with 9.0 firm and holding L boots me into emunand.
