What is causing this. I'm unsure and no my friends list is okay. I have played the game offline with wifi disabled.

Also i'm unsure if this is in the correct section or not. please tell me!

Whats <Extended Mode>
Well the O3DS uses Extended Mode to basically power up to be able to run the game. Hence why some games like Super Mario Maker for the 3DS and SSB take a little while to load up. Since the game is a mode when you close it, instead of doing some crazy stuff to power down, it'll just restart since you already closed your game.

TL;DR Extended Mode makes the O3DS power more to play the game, and when you close the game it restarts the 3DS instead of changing back.

It should also be noted that it restarts when loading the game too, temporarily disconnecting you from the internet. Also, reason why we need a special version of NTR on O3DS to use it with extended memory games. Other games like that are SSB4, MH4U, MHGen, MHXX, Pokemon S/M/US, etc..
