I only played the original Lufia on SNES, and loved it as a moderately-difficult turn-based RPG. I really dislike action RPGs (with the exception of Zelda, if you count it as one), so I probably won't be trying this one out until I get bored of everything else I can play right now.

This one is the remake of Lufia2 (the prequel).
Anyone know if it sold well enough in japan and if the developers decided to port Lufia 1 (the sequel) too?
I really liked the Lufia series on Snes, I'm curious to try the new A-RPG system.
(I didn't like Lufia Gba though, too many cath'em'all for me)

Man I'm looking forward to reliving my childhood a bit with this game. I know its not exactly the same game but man. I hate waiting for dumps but will be very appreciative when it is dumped.

I'm waiting for this game too. It looks pretty fun specially why it combines puzzle and platforming elements. I tried the new Final Fantasy and I found is ok, I mean, Im pretty tired of turn based RPG (or any game with turn based system), since I played DQIX for almost 100 hours (and only DQIX, lol!).

This game has been dumped. Not by a scene group. I may be strung up by the testicles for hinting too much, but if you're a cat person like me you'll probably really enjoy this game.

While you're quite correct that you should play the SNES version, the DS version is significantly different.
Dumped version boots up and I can start a game on the last available CycloDS FW. I had some concerns since Square Enix published the game, but it seems alright so far.
