Homebrew Low performance on Retroarch on N3ds xl emunand using gateway

I got a question. I finally got around to installing retroarch snes cia to my n3ds. My n3ds xl is currently using gateway and emunand. I got low performance on my n3ds; is it because i am using gateway? Would doing a9hl boost the performance or is it some other issue

no it isnt. i have A9LH installed and play earthbound with it perfectly

Then it si wierd, I just finish setup my o3ds last night with a9lh and i install blargsnes cia and it refuse to load. just black screen

Use version 1.2b not 1.3 because 1.3 has some issues loading...

Weird, any advise? I tried both 1.2 and 1.3 and both have black screen and i have to do harf reset. Retroarch work but it is so slow on o3ds

which retroarch cia core thing are you using? snes9x is awful for everything (afaik), but i have not had issues with pocketsnes. If you do not care about save states though, use blargsnes 1.2b. FBI can launch it without a black screen if you are still having issues with it.

correct me if I'm wrong, but VC injection is a thing on that Chaos Site for SNES games

PocketSNES is the only SNES RetroArch core worth using on the New 3DS. The others are usually too slow (but CATSFC/plus can run some games with better sound than PocketSNES).

What Retroarch core are you using? I get pretty good performance with PocketSNES. I had no problems with PocketSNES on New3DS.

Use official snes vc i injection, there are the best method on n3ds systems. You can find injection on that chaos 3ds site....

When you mention snes vc i injection, do u meant install it as cia? I tried to get earthbound .3ds working on gateway but it didnt; work.

Blargsnes just has a bug that never gets fixed.
