So, I was just following the "A9LH to B9S" guide in an attempt to get my 3DS up to date. However, after following the steps (including the ctrtransfer), I noticed all my software was no longer appearing on the home screen. Yet when I check my data management all my games are clearly still on the SD card (they're just now greyed out). I've read this has something to do with tickets, but I'm not sure. I've tried using stuff like "Tikshop" to restore them, but it hasn't worked. I also can't find the "TitleDB" option in FBI.

I guess I fucked up a step at some point but is there any way to restore my games and save files?

Because while following the A9LH to B9S guide, I kept getting an error when trying to update. So I just followed along with: "If this still gives you an error, follow CTRTransfer, then try updating again" and I suppose that's where my problems began.

were you trying transfer an emuNAND to the sysNAND

I have no idea, honestly.

If you see X's marked on games, DLCs, and updates in Data Management, that means you lost your tickets. Back then, you could have used the TIKdevil app to restore the tickets for most titles found on Nintendo eShop. There is technically a way to make TIKdevil work again through some crazy router host settings, but I'm not familiar with the details of how this is done as this was something I learned of 2nd hand from @The Real Jdbye.

In order to rebuild your setup, you would have to resort to following a complicated and tedious process in manually recreating tickets and restoring saves:

However, there is supposedly a bit of good news as you might be able to avoid the above mess. At a certain site which will not be named, someone supposedly posted tickets for all the titles listed from another infamous site. As for whether or not this is something worth pursuing or even relevant to your problem is up to you to figure out.

CTRTransfer will have backed up your tickets as part of the process, they should be in gm9/out and can be installed with FBI. However some tickets may still be missing at the end.

I did the same, the tickets were backed up, i did install and delete tickets and yet it didnt work, they games were gone forever without any reason, something is WRONG with the guide and needs to be revised because this is NOT FUN.
