whats the deal with all the girl skins out there being of young japanese women or of anime characters?

I was trying to find one of a genuinely beautiful woman adriana lima (victorias secret model, I know you read the catalogue)

shes just insanely hot
well worth looking at when I open my ds

hope I'm not making an inappropriate post, I'd just love to have a skin of her.

While you're right in that the majority of the themes are for the R4DS (about 8:1 versus the CycloDS) there are still over 1000 CycloDS themes to choose from. Also, you could try posting a request in the NDSthemes.com Theme Request forum to see if anyone there could whip one up for you.

ie a template where one would just have to make a top.bmp and bottom.bmp and a swell looking skin would be produced

i ripped her code and played with the pics
heres what I came up with

I made the Icons in photoshop with the marque tool
call me old fashion, I just think they look cooler plain.

EDIT: they're not spaced far enough apart. use your imagination =D

Cool to see you taking a shot at designing your own. Looks pretty good so far; using the stock cheat icons & scrollbar? What do the on/off of the buttons look like (can only see one setting.)

1) I'd choose a different color as that's some harsh-green against the yellow bikini and tanned skin. Maybe pick up her eye color and see how that looks with that silvery-blue.
2) Just a head's up: if you're planning on posting it at NDSthemes.com be sure to add in the description that you "borrowed" the icons from another themer's work or your theme could get removed (based on the posting rules there.)

I spent some time this evening putting this one together. I borrowed the coconut from my R4DS Jarah Mariano 3 theme, seemed fitting. I had to do a bit of editing to cover her up, hopefully it's enough to get passed at NDSthemes.com. I'll post a link here if/when it's approved, until then here's a preview. Lemme know what you think (the status bars are painted in with coconut husk texture as well as the scrollbar & cheats):

oh, I've seen the picture =D

but I'll probably play with the color alittle more
it's just hard to find something that sticks out against the other colors and surprisingly the green actually looked okay as the text color in lists
