Hello. New to this site. Need some guidance with a switch that shows charging symbol but wont charge. With the amp meter it shows 0.00 amps being drawn. If i put a good battery (have tried with two) the console turns on but wont charge and shows the 0.00 amps drawn. All the caps around the charge chips and the video chip are not grounded. Could it still be the m92t36? Thank you.

What voltage do you get on pin 9 of M92T36 with the charger plugged in?
What voltage do you get on pin 1 of Bq24193 with the charger plugged in?

    M92T36 is fine. My guess.

Check testpoint above BQ24193. Should show +3v when plugged in. 0 unplugged.

If 0, BQ24193 dead ( or USB port fault)

Check this point to make sure you have continuity

Replace BQ24193. Also check 10k resistors on top and right of chip.

If STILL no change, check max17050 fuel gauge IC on the underside. See if it getting hot.

Really quick, this will be my first time replacing an ic chip. What temps and air flow from 1-10 do you recomend? Thank you

I use cheap air re-flowing station and my recommendations are:
    1) Before any air flow work preheat ALL BOARD (about 250 C) it will evaporate "liquid" that stuck between pcb layers and level air temps what prevents pcb from delamination.
    2) Do not use very wide nozzle there is connectors around, aim opposite side of connectors, you can even aim on left side of the chip farther from connectors, that will heat IC for needed work anyway, but you will have less risk to melt left Joy-Con connector.
    3) I use 420(C) with Level-5 flow(out of 10), more air more chance to melt stuff around and more risks (There is some experiments made by guys on YouTube, slow healing worst for board than fast hot one)

480C is very hot, that will increase the risks of the board delaminating and/or burning. Especially for someone who is not that skilled with hot air, slow heating might be better, so they have a chance to get a feel for it.

Thank you. One more thing, im still waiting for the ic chip to get her and i have been testing more caps on theback of the board. Found this cap with continuity but only when i check other caps around it it looses continuity.. Ty

Temp for airflow... I rarely go over 330. I average around 280

On some boards with a big ground plane, I have had to go up to 375. But that is extreme case.

Regarding your capacitor, sounds like classic FET behaviour to me.

Assume correct until you have ruled out bq24193

Totally agree with you, again i mentioned that i have cheapest air-flow setup, so my 480 might not be actual 480.
I would practice on some broken electronics at home with few chips to have better feel.

Do you use Kapton tape or copper tape to protect the other components? I have seen some videos using both items and some none at all. Ty
