Hacking looking for a way to play zelda aLttP on the 3ds... so SNES emulator

looking for a good trusty SNES emulator .CIA if possible, I have a NEW3DS with homebrew and using RENand. Anyone have a good recomendation?

Use the official nintendo SNES emulator from eShop (you can find a lot of snes injection on that chaos site).

I use BlargSNES or something like that. It works pretty well.

There are only two games released so far and they are Super Mario World and F-Zero. To play any other games you would have to inject the rom into an existing VC title. Just search for VC rom injection. Or use the cia of BlargSNES and put the roms directly on your SD card.

zlttp will be released on the 14th.....but there is rom injections on *other* sites, you will probably fins a alttp on the internetz

I rhink blargs is the easyest one since i am not into injections.... cuz lazy, i am at the downloads page in blargs, i readed in the instructions that i need to download the CIA file, however none of these files are marked as CIA, any way to recognize the file?

afaik no version of blarg ever worked properly with alttp, and afaik the latest version doesn't boot it at all (and on the older versions it crashed when using the Pegasus boots), your best bet if you want to avoid rom injections is retroarch, pretty sure blargsnes is pretty much abandoned at this point

hmmm maybe it received another update after the original dev threw a wobbler and made his own forum, last i remember alttp didn't work fully on any version

To be honest I have not tried alttp yet but I have not had any major issues with other games except for what I said earlier.

EDIT: It takes about 30 seconds to install so there is no harm in trying.

Pretty ALttP only works on blargSnes 1.2 and earlier. Either that or you can try out PocketSNES or CatSFC from RetroArch. I guess you could use Nintendo's crappy VC wrapper if you don't like the other options.

Snes can be emulated very well. I use catsfc or pocketsnes from the retroarch package. Advantages over using snes VC would be possibility to use video filters, savestates and allowing the device to go to sleep during emulation. I also don't know of any games that don't work well emulated.
