Looking for a single, unrestricted, indiscriminate addon/script for Chrome to save videos

I'm not talking about the many YouTube-dedicated addons/scripts not found on the store. I mean a single addon that will provide the same functionality everywhere and not require a per-case implementation. Such addons exist for Firefox and surely there must be something I overlooked as I am new to Chrome.

Insight is appreciated.

If I were you, I would use youtube-dl, not a plugin but it is the best in that area, supports a shitton of services and somehow keeps itself up to date in attempts to break it.
