Hey, I'm trying to rack my brain for a fun game that has the following features, but I'm coming up with zilch. Anyone have suggestions?

>Avatar system where I can import or create my own avatar.
>Has a multiplayer function (not an MMO)
>Something with a reasonable amount of challenge, but nothing serious either.
>Has replay value (for the multiplayer aspect).
>PC would be the preference.

If anyone can think of something that more or less fits this mold (and is NOT Minecraft), please make a post.

Galactic Civilizations, 3 being the most recent.

You can both choose from pre-made character portraits or create your own.
Has multiplayer.
It's 4X with an adjustable difficulty.
Replayability from multiplayer mode and from choosing to go through different development paths/routes on either singleplayer or multiplayer.
Available on Steam.

GalCiv3 looks to be the most promising so far. Thanks for the suggestion :)

    @SylverReZ find me ONE community that is free of drama and politics. even video games forums (like this one) have politics section. and for some reason gamers still take consoles/brands wars seriously. even as a kid i never took the console wars bait despite being a nintendo kid.

    as about forums, when i recently revisited some old forums i used to be regular and seeing how immature most members still are i was like "Yeap. Nothing of value has been lost.". Unfortunately it's the good, comfy forums that ended up dead or shut down, especially because of internet centralization.
