    I thought French had it's own equivalent of lol, "mdr". I see people using it while speaking other languages too, like Esperanto, so maybe it's borrowed from another language.

    japanese and (some) chinese speakers type wwww instead of lol
    i've heard that korean speakers type ᄏᄏᄏᄏᄏ (kkkkk) but idk how true this is
    similarly, i've heard brazilians write kkkkk as well
