So my Wii came back today.
They said they fixed it, i asked them if they checked its working, they sent it back saying "they fixed the drive".

    DOESN'T FREAKING WORK!!!!!
    stupid Nintendo engineers

anyone else receive a non-working Wii, or is my luck continually worsening?

Wow, you would think that they would at least make sure it works. Hope this doesn't happen to me. I'm scheduled to get my Wii back on the 15th.

This happened to me too. I had a like launch wii and a few months later it started showing block dots on the screen (some GPU problem) so ordered a replacement where they send a new one and then you send the old one back and the new one wasn't playing games at all i ended up worst off than before but they just gave me a replacement for that one too (but the problem was getting it to and from them since i dont live in the US both am still in the NTSC region).

Dam I hope you didn't have to pay for the repair... That sucks...
If you did I'd make them refund all money including Shipping... If they made you pay for it...

    Who knows... Maybe... It is...

lol. If all they did was replaced the drive I don't see how they fixed it.... because you screwed it up by messing with the disc region, right?

    Might just be your luck...

or their might be more to the story... any homebrew, (did it used to have a modchip) these elements in the story would be worth knowing about...

sucks it returned broken still though..

The thing is, it was out of warranty.
I paid $120 for them to repair it.
it had a chip (solderless though, so they didnt know)
and homebrew is what screwed it up (or my messing around with it anyway..)

    So i sent it back
i included a reciept of the cost of postage with it.
If they say it had to be replaced, then i'll probably get them to pay the rest of the amount

I still say the best way to unbrick a wii.. is buy a new one bring it home swap your wii unit for the new one stick the old one back in the box and return it.. cash back...new wii.. ready for run #2.

Plain and simple. I have done it at Walmart and so have many others.

Basically Nintendo fixed your brick Wii and never saw it coming! [IMG]
