i am wondering if you guys can save space like that. i found someone bumped an 8 year old topic and i asked why he bumped it. so yeah... do you guys reconsdier that or no? i'm just saying not asking

It's the standard topics can always be relevant thing. Locking threads just for the sake of locking would defeat 75% of the purpose for a search function.

I dont see any problem with thread bumping as long as you don't bump just for the sake of bumping.
if you have something constructive to post in an old thread, why shouldnt you allowed to post?

It's fine as it is. If a bump is useless it can always be removed, and leaving threads open mean they're still open for people to post and ask a valid question.

Instead of locking topics because two people are arguing or a bunch of trolling/flaming is going on, suspend the offenders and delete their posts so that people who actually have something worthwhile to say can contribute.
