my ak2i used to work fine but, now i just keep getting the "loading" in blue when i boot it up on my DSL.
im pretty sure the prob is that the ak2i can't read the MSD card, yet i dont kno how to make it read it again,
i tried positioning the MSD card diff each time but nothin..

Got from 0shippingzone
using DSL
Problem is Blue Loading screen frozen when boot from DS menu

and yeah, im sure i have the right firmware.( akaio FTW) i can take any pics of anything if needed
so how do i fix?

Try inserting a 1-3 pieces of paper behind your MicroSD card as you insert it (label side). This should push the card onto the contacts. It could just be wear and tear on the MicroSD slot, how often were you removing the MicroSD card?

Did you replaced AKAIO?
(lastest)

i've been using akaio 1.6 rc2

edit for above post: i have no idea.. i've been using that sd card for my R4 sdhc (fake) before for like a year, then used it for my acekard, worked for awile, removed it to try pokemon SS but now just keep getting stuck on "loading", also means i removed my sd from my ak to put in usb thing, to transfer, then put sd back into ak then thats when it happened..
even tried deleting pkmn SS

edit 2: trying the paper idea..
edit 3: so far, nothing, still failing

All you can do is open the Acekard up and compare the MicroSD card slot to pictures of others. Apparently you can use a hairdryer to melt the glue to open the cart on an Acekard 2i without damaging it, although it's not something i've done myself. Or if it's a 2.1 you should be able to undo the clips.

edit:..... yeeaaaaaaaahhhh...
the hairdryer idea is a bad idea..
it melted the plastic, not the glue..
at LEAST it still works on my ds, but gets stuck...
****

edit 2: -,- still get blue loading screen
and also... now i bet no-one will help anymore cause it's not in the main page, and i can't double post to bump my topic

Not my fault lol. It was in this video

that someone said to use a hair dryer to melt the glue. Someone posted it on here a few days ago.

Inside there are 4 'pegs' on one side of the cart and 4 'holes' on the other side. You would need to use some kind of glue on the pegs or you could use plastic solvent/ cement.

Apparently if you force it open, you can break the pegs which makes it harder to put back together. Hence why you use heat to melt the glue so you don't break them.

Isn't the glue only on the corners though? You'd have to pry it open eventually.. Carefully I guess.

NO, THE GLUE IS ONLY ON THE PEGS. I cafefully used a knife to open mine, I now have 3 broken pegs where I didn't melt the glue first.

Oh well, good job I have 3 spare AK2i's.

How did I miss that.. Oy I'm such a n00b sometimes... (more like all the time, huh? haha) Spring Break is getting to me. Well now I know how to open an AK2i if I ever get one... Sorry about that. My apologies.
