Hacking Loader.kip for AMS 1.7.0 with FW 17.0.1 - sys-clk error ??

Hello there,

I updated from FW 16.0.2 to FW 17.0.1 and in the same time from AMS 1.6.2 to 1.7.0
Everything works except my overclock.
It shows "Fatal error - sys-clk is not running. Loader.kip is required to use this version of sys-clk." (see attachment).

Where do I get the loader.kip? Or which overclock homebrew works with FW 17.0.1 and AMS 1.7.0?

Go back to AMS 1.6.2 and use Switch OC Suite

except go the Switch 60 FPS Discord and get SYS-CLK-OC_0331 (pinned in the overclocking channel)
and get a preset loader kip there too (threads in the overclocking channel). There are separate versions for Mariko and Erista and each has few variants available.
Or just use the default kip from Github and customize it yourself.

This works perfectly fine for OC on FW 17 and AMS 1.6.2.
Not sure why did you update for AMS 1.7.0, especially if youre not on fw 18.
Theres also a OC prerelease available for AMS 1.7.0 on the Discord too, I guess. But maybe it also needs fw 18.
At this point I would stay at fw 17 and AMS 1.6.2 where more things are available and things are more tested.

Boot with Hekate or modded Fusee.
In preparation for new AMS I switched to booting with Hekate long ago and it loads the loader.kip fine.

I got it to work in the meantime with a release from a not well appreciated source.
Still figuring out how to get RAM-settins higher than 1600 though. But at least I can choose 1600 MHZ and uncapped (until 1785 and 921) CPU and GPU frequencies in handheld mode again.
Why I updated? Well, never change a running system, but yesterday I had time and somehow I forgot that the overclock does not easily work with the newer AMS and FW...

Get a loader.kip (or customize one youself) with higher RAM clock set as max possible and make sure it gets loaded correctly.
Personally I have an Erista so I use Lineon EVP v5 Moderate loader.kip with 1996 MHz RAM as max possible. This is available on the Discord I mentioned above.

Well I am not active on Discord, I find it just confusing.
Is the loader.kip interchangeable? So if you send it to me can I just use it with my setup? I have also an Erista model and before the update 2064 MHz worked fine.
I do not know how to create a loader.kip myself since the online configurator

You're using the loader.kip from that config page, correct? You should be able to download the one available on that page, then browse/upload it and make your changes, and finally save it at the bottom.

More to the point, what error is it giving you? Post a screenshot if possible. I haven't experienced any issues with the configurator personally. Worst-case I could enter the settings you want and PM you the resulting file, but that shouldn't be necessary.

Yes, the online configurator worked yesterday, looked like my firefox did not like the page.
But as I said, even with this loader.kip (I just saved one with 1884 MHZ RAM) I can´t get higher frequencies than 1600 MHz in the newer games like FC24. In Skate it worked, but then somehow the never games showed me errors (data corrupt).

Ah that may be. I just get a black screen when booting from Hekate. It works once I remove the loader.kip file. I'm doing something wrong obviously

This means you are running loader.kip not suited for your FW version or CFW version.

You need to check out the 60 FPS Discord. Its overclocking channel specifically.
