Hacking Living in Japan? Need an R4?

I already got my R4 through gameyeeeah, but I found some R4s for sale when I was shopping in Nagoya this weekend. In Osu, they had R4s in stock, as well as a selection of micro SD cards. About 2,000 yen for 2GB cards, I think. I'm assuming there must be stores that have it in Akiba, but I haven't been to Tokyo for a while.

Lastly, anyone know where I can get a Slim PS2 modded? I don't feel like destroying it myself.

I bought my R4 in Akihabara last week. I found at least three stores selling it -- with big handwritten advertisements out front. The stores were all on the back streets.

Bought mine in Akihabara too about 2 months ago. Except it wasn't in the back streets.

Yeah, I went to Akihabara last week. Really weird to see all the signs selling R4 and other cards on the street. There was one table where some guys were selling a flashed PSP running emulated Shinobi 3.

How is Akihabara? I may be going to Japan for a few weeks next year. Anyone here have any suggestions for a first-time visitor to Japan? Where's a good place to stay?
