Little Big Planet 2 Dated and Collector's Edition announced

The PlayStation Blog has released a veritable overstuffed Sackboy of launch information regarding Little Big Planet 2. The game will come out on November 16, and features unique pre-order Sackboy costumes based on where you place a reservation.

Amazon pre-orders will get Ratchet & Clank costumes, Best Buy will get Toy Story aliens, and GameStop will get Clu from the upcoming Tron Legacy film. Each of the pre-orders will also come with four animal costumes: cobra, vulture, mandrill, and crocodile. The blog hints at Muppet costume DLC as well, including a Gonzo costume that will come with a to-be-announced pre-order.

Finally, Sony is releasing a Collector's Edition of the game. It will cost $79.99, and is being made in limited quantities, but the bonuses are impressive. They include a 7" Sackboy plushie, themed bookends, all of the pre-order costumes outlined above (including Gonzo), exclusive Jak and Daxter costumes, and five exclusive PSN avatars.
