With cargo pants it works fine, almost perfectly in the lower pockets.
I even stuffed one into skinny jeans at one point. (the point is that it technically fits, I couldn't walk with it in lel)

Welp, yeah not the first time there were mass defects, especially if you buy from the same retailer. I've owned six 2DSes from different retailers and owners (reasons) and possessed a friend's 2DS (to install a9lh) along with their 3DS, and the 2DS lasted longer, power wise. Almost a full hour.
I found out they actually use the exact same battery too.
