Almost ready to take new orders. It took longer than expected, but I am expecting to officially be able to take new orders next week.
looking forward to it, been bricked for about a month with nothing to do. Damn downgrade following Plailect guide, I'll be using gateway's method next time.

I hope you are joking... Plailect's guide is much safer, and GW cuts a lot of safety corners to get it's thing done, and GW-A9LH is completely locked down... You can read those posts over at the GW thread, from hardmod users who have gone through the beta, and some of them bricked because of the beta. But whatever.

Not a joke, i did successfully install a9lh on another 3ds following plailect's guide. However on this 3ds, after downgrading to 9.2 it created theme stuff and the next time i tried booting up the 3ds was bricked, hard brick too. As for gateway, i mean the downgrader, not installing A9LH with their thing. As for the cut corners what exactly does it cut? A nand dump which you should make anyways? Which would be useless without a hardmod, end up in the same situation I am in?

Hey, do any of you had shipped your 3ds from other country? I'd like to ship it to USA in order to get a hardmod, but I don't know if there'd be a problem because it has a battery, and it's an electronic device (I'd ship it from Mexico)

Ask the person you are getting the mod from if they need the battery, you can probably remove it before shipping it and they will have one on hand to use.

Okey; do you know if batteries are the only problematic thing? Or is there any other part/aspect that could cause problems?

And who's the one that would inspects if it has batteries or not? The US customs or the courier company?

Sorry for bombarding you with so many questions

My n3ds just came back from vb_encryption_vb also. He is an awesome US based modder. His work is pretty clean and very professional. Kudos to him, would definitely send more if I ever need.

i would always just say remove the battery to be safe, one i did to i think Italy when returning i had to sign something saying there was no battery inside, and if they found out there was there could be a fine of upto £100 (i did check with the person before returning it and offered to remove the battery, but he was willing to take the risk).....was fine anyway, but if you wanna play it safe, just double check with the modder, i would assume most of us have spare batteries at hand for most/all models (there is only 3 different types)

Since you are shipping internationally, just call UPS (or DHL, or ...) and ask about the restrictions to be sure.

When shipping from USPS.com you are to label them dangerous goods. Then in the description, I inform them why (lithium-ion battery included). I have never had a problem with it.
