*Whistles* There's more than I expected. The DS really does have almost endless emulation capabilities when it comes to classic consoles. Looking at that WonderSwan emulator, I can't help but wonder if anyone ever started a WS/C rom translation project of some sort.

Incidentally, perhaps you should also include the emulators that worked on GBA on the list? As most of those work on the DS as well.

Yes, yes, true. But the emulators for the GBA are technically emulators for the DS, since the DS can play GBA games. And the flash carts the DS uses supports the same emulators that the GBA could use. *Rambles*

From a techinical standpoint, they're designed to be booted using the NDS libs and elfs etc. I get your point, just not the technicality.

Any chance on getting a binary for the Genesis emulator? The last genesis emulator for the NDS (a port of Gens+) ran at 1 frame per second, even on simple games. =(

man, I can't wait till June 11th!! I thought my Supercard was sweet enough already seeing as how I am playing GBA and NES games on my GBA SP........and then I was looking forward to adding NDS and maybe a few GB?GBC games to that list, but now SNES and freaking GENESIS!!

how are the SNES and Genesis emus on DS? Stable, high compatibility? Run well?

Oh holy crap! A Commodore 64 emu for DS? To have Space Taxi and Jumpman on my DS would be heavenly.

That switch oled screen is insanely good. I want to say it's not worth its just a screen upgrade but my eyes says different.

The picture quality difference is huge. There's so much more pop and depth then the old model. Old model looks so flat.

Plus the bigger screen size means less of surface area is wasted. It just feels so premium on Screen alone. Can't stop gushing about it.

@SG854 it's good until the pixels start wearing out and the image doesn't look as crisp anymore or you get burn in

OLED screens have a very finite lifespan, could be as little as a year if it's used for hours every day

@The Real Jdbye I don't really care about burn in. I want to enjoy my console. You only live once so I'm not going to be cautious about it. I can always just replace it with an LCD screen or another OLED later down the line. If it gets burn in oh well. I have a OLED TV and OLED Phone and no burn in for 3 years. So I'll be good.

    oh no you dropped yourself?

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
well you might not be able to replace it with a LCD screen we don't know if they are compatible

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    i suppose it isn't so bad with a $350 (more like $550 here :( ) device, worse with a $2000 TV
    Gift
  • SG854 @ SG854:
There will be a compatible LCD screen made. The fact that OLEDs don't last as long as LCD's means there's a market for replacements and lots of money to be made.

TVs are expected to last a decade having it visibly degrade after a year would be major suck

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
also HDR pushes brightness to higher levels that also accelerates the wear

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the issue is worst when an oled tv is used as a computer monitor (there is a big reason why there are almost no oled monitors on the market)

let's hope nintendo did some clever stuff to prevent uneven wear of the oled screen

Don't care if it gets burn in. I want to enjoy my life. I can just get a new TV.

CRT's and Plasma's get burn in. And been fine with them for years.
