Hacking Linking Emerald with Pearl

Is it currently possible to link Emerald to Pearl with the G6 lite? I try to use the option when writing the ROM, but it says no known roms compatible, or something along those lines.

AFAIK this is impossible. When linking the DS game to the GBA game the G6 Lite doesn't read the save file of the GBA game...

More importantly, is it possible to link a GBA Pokemon game (Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/FireRed/LeafGreen)'s save file on a G6 Lite in slot-2 to D/P ROM on an R4 or an authentic D/P game card in slot-1? I could see linking from GBA Pokemon to DS Pokemon all within the G6 to be a bit of a pain, but what about from GBA Pokemon on the G6 to DS Pokemon in slot-1?

You would think a lot of other G6 owners would have an R4DS in slot-1 nowadays because the price is so agreeable. It would be nice to be able to replicate full Diamond/Pearl and linkage functionality with these two devices.

This is currently impossible. The slot 2 G6 cannot currently be used for any sort of pokemon linkage.

This may change in the future, and if it does you'll probably hear about it here first.

Is it possible to do this with any combination of flashcarts (an R4DS in slot-1 and an EZ-Flash 3-in-1 in slot-2, for instance?), or do you pretty much need to use your authentic copy of the GBA Pokemon games to pull off linkage?

At this moment it is possible using the following combination:

Slot-2: Only if you use EZ 3-in-1
Slot-1: At least R4 and DS-X (probably any) BUT YOU NEED to patch the Pokemon D/P ROM. EZ V also supports it, of course, but the ROM patching is already included on its kernel.
