PMing links to copyrighted works is still against the rules and unfortunately fan-translated works are still copyrighted, regardless of what language the text is. The only reason why some fan translation projects can skirt by on this site is because they're video games and you are required to own a copy of the game in question in order to play the translated version. With novels there's no way to require the reader to own a copy of the reference material aside from the honor system.
