Hello folks,

I've recently gotten around to installing CFW (haxchi, no cold boot) on my Wii U. I recently installed Xenoblade Chronicles X using WUP Installer GX2 and accidentally let the console update it - using their official servers, I assume. Is there any risk of getting banned from the eshop, etc? I am in the US.

PS: Interestingly/funnily enough, I actually do own the game. :)

To my knowledge nobody has been banned by updating a pirated game. Also AFAIK (correct me if I'm wrong) the Wii U is not sending any information to the severs which could identify the game as being pirated.

That said you should be fine, don't worry. :)

//EDIT: Also let me tell you an open secret: Hundrets of consoles are sending "NUSspli/1.17 (WarezLoader, like WUPDownloader)" to the official Nintendo servers since around a year. From that consoles none have been banned (also Nintendo still hasn't blocked that useragent string from their servers). Nintendo simply doesn't care about the Wii U anymore. ;)
