Heard about this earlier; it's a shame.

He was a funny man. The Airplane films are hilarious.

Anybody who hasn't heard of Leslie, clearly hasn't seen a funny movie before in their life. This guy is Comic gold! The way he comes off serious but still making us laugh, that's rare that happens.

84 though? Talk about living a full life. I wonder though, had he not had the pneumonia, how much longer he would live. He also acted so young, like his age didn't constrict him like it would older people.

Great man, R.I.P, time for me to get the Naked Gun movies and Airplane.

Wow, I just checked Netflix and apparently he has made movies up until 2009 !
The man surely kept busy till the very end.
I liked his humor , but most of the later movies just capitalized on the success of the Naked gun and very often were really low budget, low quality mindless movies try to be funny.
He was always great though.
Anyway, he lived a full life, and did what he loved to do for 60 years, so rest in peace.

I just saw this thread just now. God, I'm torn up about this. Leslie Nielsen, Chris Farley, John Candy... All the giants of comedy are truly gone.

Yeah I'm sure he would have pulled it off, even at 84.
The beauty about this guys getting white hair ( like Steve Martin or getting completely bald a la Kojak ) prematurely, they never change much through the years, because they already looked old at 35 ! Just a few more wrinkles here and there, nothing that a little professional movie makeup couldn't hide....!
I think I'd like my hair completely white too, but I'm 37 now and I don't even have one single white hair ! My father is 60 and he just recently got salt and pepper type of gray hair.....so I guess a completely white head is never gonna happen to me..........
