Rest in Peace and thank you for your excellent guitar on behalf of not only us who have had the pleasure of playing your guitars but also everyone who has heard the instrument on the many many great songs it has been played on.

Because you are a child, kids never know who the legends are.

Les Paul is quite possibly one of the most influential guitarists of all time. Not only was he one of the top jazz players of all time alongside greats such as Wes Montgomery and Django Reinhardt, but he crafted one of the most recognized guitars in rock and roll history. The Gibson Les Paul has become a staple among guitarists around the world and played by some of the most legendary players since it's introduction in the 1950's. Players like Pete Townshend of The Who, Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, Slash from Guns N Roses, Frank Zappa, Alex Lifeson of Rush and many others.

I am a child and I know who he is. Also check your facts DSGamer64, cause he was the most influential guitarist of 1990! I'm not saying he is bad. He rocks. He is ten times as good as me. But seriously, do you really think age is concerned? Vidboy10 didn't act crazy, just immature. I thought of punching him in the face when I saw "I don't even know who this guy was" comment. But instead of you, DSGamer64, an adult, saying something directly to him (Like a PM), you had to dis all the kids in the world! Now you are the immature one.

Umm, I didn't ask to get flamed, I was merely pointing out facts, nor did I say that all kids don't know anything about legendary musicians either so shut your hole.

Well, with kids you can't be pointing out to a few kids, you mean kids in general. I think, that that means all the kids.

I agree with Sanderino. Also, why are you telling me to shut my hole? Why don't you? Why don't we both stop arguing. This was suppose to be a topic - Not a dissing contest.

The Gibson Les Paul is one heck of a great solo guitar. What a sound! I hope I will ever own one.

Actually, it is pretty easy to generalise things with kids, guaranteed most kids on this planet under 13 have never heard of a guy like Les Paul unless they actually like good music or their parents listen to old music, or in some cases they happen to play guitar. I never said all kids don't know who he is anyway, all I did was say kids don't know who he is in the general context. Sheesh, you people need to learn to read things in context properly. If I wanted to say that all kids don't know who he was, I would have done so.

No it won't, seeing as how the only relation between him and the guitar is the name on the headstock. I am not sure if Gibson ever actually produced a line of special guitars based around his original design or the one that he has been playing for so many years with all the funky switches and stuff, if they actually made one designed to his original model, then that would be worth 10x what it was. A regular Les Paul won't go for anything more, vintage ones on the other hand will probably go up in value a fair bit.

Indeed. Sad to hear, but he lived a long life. I hope he was satisfied at the end of it.
