    I will be leaving the country for 6 months and lending my OpenWii modded system to my sister for the duration. I would like to know, given the recent homebrew hacks found, if I have to warn her about updating or anything of the sort. Afterall, I would hate to lose the ability to play future backups because she updated in my absence!

    How old is your sister? I mean if shes trustable.... But if shes not, put like the Wii itself in like a safe.

    Yes, but if she rents a game, don't certain ones contain the updates?

    eh I wouldn't worry so much about that. Only Mario kart might have a new update and that is a maybe.
