Lego Star Wars: Skywalker Saga - Gameplay trailer

New Gameplay Reveal Trailer Showcases Epic Scenes from All Nine Star Wars Saga Films

Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, LEGO Group and Lucasfilm today revealed the gameplay trailer for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, the upcoming game where players will experience memorable moments and nonstop action from all nine Skywalker saga films told through the unique lens of LEGO bricks.

Developed by TT Games in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games and published by Warner Bros. Games, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will release in Spring 2021 for Xbox One family of devices, including Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch system, PC and Mac.

The trailer gives a glimpse of the adventures that will immerse players into the expansive saga with the freedom to control hundreds of characters and vehicles that will allow them to discover their own unique journey through a galaxy far, far away. Players have the freedom to start at any of the nine episodes, whether jumping straight in at Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, beginning their journey at the prequels with Star Wars: The Phantom Menace or experiencing the saga in any order they prefer. Playable characters include favorite heroes like Luke Skywalker, Rey, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Finn, BB-8 and others, as well as characters from the dark side such as Darth Vader, The Emperor, Kylo Ren, Darth Maul, and more. Unforgettable moments from the films have been re-imagined in new, fun-filled, light-hearted humour. Everything from Podracing on Tatooine and space combat above the Death Star, to battling on Starkiller Base and beyond.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a celebration of the heritage and future of LEGO Star Wars™ games,” said Michael Denny, Vice President and Studio Head, TT Games. “For the first time ever, players can explore the legendary adventures from the Skywalker saga in an immense, new game for everyone to play on current and upcoming platforms.”

The Deluxe Edition of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will feature the main game and the "Character Collection Bundle Pack" with six DLC character packs inspired by The Mandalorian, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: The Bad Batch and more. The physical version of the Deluxe Edition will include a collectible LEGO Star Wars minifigure, Luke Skywalker with Blue Milk.

I hope it has a quest to pick up some power converters..

The flying parts of the trailer made me realize how much I want Rogue Squadron series to come back (remastered or whatever). This actually looks kind of fun though. Last Lego game I played was Lego Island a long time ago, this might bring me back.

So is this just all the old games bundled together with some new DLC then? I was hoping it included a new game as well.

No, it's more of a remake plus two movies and DLC. I'm pretty sure this fight (1:23 in the video) was never in LSW, iirc the only Utapau level was the second half of General Grevious vs. Obi-Wan when they're on the platforms further down the crater

The analogy was sooo good material to work with, I seriously feel for the devs.:glare:

I do hope they include the battle that moved me the most in the disnyz $aga, when Luke was held captive by two grey jedis and had to face a herd of lousy neckbeards.

This last stand will be remembered.

No thank you - the LEGO Star Wars Complete Saga collection is "complete" enough for me, since it has all six actual canonical films.

The 2010s movies are not official Star Wars movies; they are poorly-written, poorly-characterised, nonsensical fanfiction pieces created by those who despised the original trilogy's cast and had no concept of the limits of the Force. They do not count - they should not be bolted onto an already-complete collection of LEGO-game-ised movies. They don't belong here whatsoever.
You sound like you've been deeply hurt by this in a serious way. I feel sorry for your loss, but I LIKE THE FILMS WOOP WOOP

I don't know, but aren't all these Lego games same-ish?
What differentiates the Indiana Jones, Jurasic Park and now this one?

Aren't they basically fetch missions and collect-a-thons?
That's always been my view on the Lego games. The whole Lego medium allows for some clever jokes to be inserted here and there, but it's still more or less a retread of the movies, and that doesn't warrant a $60 purchase IMHO. That's from an adult's perspective though, and these games are clearly meant to appeal more to kids and people in their early teens. Squadrons is more up my alley.

This. They are basically so boring.
I love the cutscenes though. The humor is great.

However, since this is the only new Star Wars game I'll ever get for Switch (don't tell me there's Jedi Knight/Academy and SWP1:Racer!) as it seems I guess I'll take it.

I just hope there's some kind of total progress over all 9 episodes and that not every single episode is in its separate and isolated game instead.
I want something to progress as I play through all episodes even if it's just a f*cking counter of how many bricks I collected.
