It's great, if you are a fan of the series, buy this game. You'll love it.

Just bought it today, but haven't opened it yet. I finished 100% on Lego Star Wars III a day ago, so the timing is perfect [IMG]

Lego Star Wars III was the first Lego game I've finished. It's kind of strange not having a flashcart, because I'm actually finishing my games for once. Now I need to go back and play all the other Lego games I missed out on. 3DS first though [IMG]

Well, unlike Lego Star wars 3, the 3DS version of this game will actually have 100% of the story/freeplay missions the console versions get. [IMG]

I bought this game along with Dream Trigger today. It's fun so far, but they changed the game completely compared to the console versions. For instance, in the console version Anamaria has that double jump ability to get to higher places, but in the 3DS version she just uses a grappling hook. Also they cut out parts of the cutscenes, but i guess it is to be expected since it's a 3DS version. Also there isn't as much to do in the levels collectible wise compared to the console game or other handheld Lego games for that matter. I still enjoy the game very much as I'm a fan of the Lego games since they have so much to do. It just feels like they half-assed this version even more than usual when it comes to the portable Lego games. Lego Star Wars III it would take 40minutes+ at some points to get through a single stage, but the levels seem very short in Lego Pirates.

It's a direct port of the Wii version, supposedly.

It's not i have the Wii version also, it's a completely different game. The stages are all the same but the layouts are completely different. A lot of the characters have completely different weapons and skills than they do in the Wii version. Murray has a shotgun in the Wii version and in the 3DS version he has a hammer. Not to mention the sword duals in the 3DS version it was a nice gimmick the first time it's used but it gets old after a while.

What do you mean by "console"? Wii or 360 and such?

    All non-handhelds. wii, 360, ps3, and pc.
That site that said it was a direct port was flat out wrong.
The portable versions (DS, 3DS, and PSP), are their own versions, and not the same as the PS3, 360, Wii, and PC versions.

I like the lighting. It actually looks better than the Wii version.

I love how they did Jacks retarded walk in the game :)

And lol at the heavy bone.

Considering getting this game. My only fear is that it's too similar to the other Lego games I have played on Wii...

    I see it more as a "I don't give a shit" walk.
