Left 4 dead 2 gore problem

Hello Tempers,

I encountered a strange problem in Left 4 dead 2. When I was playing L4D2 there was no gore at all in the game. All the corpses of the zombies just disappeared and there was no dismemberment. When I started the game on my brothers computer account everything was fine and there was gore. I've checked the options and gore is set to high on both accounts.

Help would be appreciated.

Considering you are from Germany, I know that Australian recieved the same version of the game as you with no gore and such. Would you be able to tell us what he is playing it on. I am guessing the computer but i could be wrong.

Are you under 18? is your account registered with the fact you are under age for the game?!

.....Noticed that from checking your profile here it says your 16 yrs old! ...Is that the age when you when you registered your account? ....


Then I'm pretty certain that this is the reason why!

No doubt your brother and his acct is registered as 18 or older hence it works on his and not yours!

Well actually am I living in canada atm, and yes I am 16 years old but it is my brother who has the problem with the gore. There is no problem on any computer account besides his. He is over 28 by the way and the was bought in canada.

If you were playing online with people from Australia, the gore and riot police are removed regardless of where you are playing.

So maybe he was playing with Australians.

Steam doesn't care how old you are, it doesn't even store your age.

Problem solved: Just reinstalled steam and everything was fine. Somehow steam still had the german ID and that's why everything was cut.
