I've been datamining The Lego Movie 2 Videogame using my dump of the game, and there are references to a DLC pack called "Agents Pack" and in the code there are references to "Nexo Knights" and "Ninjago" and "2017SHOWCASE". So far the only DLC that is currently out at the moment is the "Prophecy Pack".

There is also a message to dataminers in the file containing the cheat codes.

Can someone explain why people are using the term datamining when for years the perfectly well understood term hacking served for the purpose of describing people that rip apart games and figure out things about it? Worse is datamining for many is usually associated with people taking long lists of fairly plain form data (spreadsheets, logs, databases) and generating useful inferences from it.
I know I have asked this before but it bothers me a bit. Is it like when the term warez was all but abandoned? Is hacking a scary word now or something?

Anyway nice work. I don't know how committed they are to releasing DLC but I like seeing the results of people poking around files.

Mining = looking/finding
Hacking = modifying.
and when I break into a site's database to grab their cool info?

Even without that though the historical usage was always hacking. I was just curious why some felt compelled to shift.

Hackers hack, miners mine.

If someone hacks a game and dumps the files, then another person mines that data, the second person is not a hacker :P

If the same person hacked and found that data, they’re a hacker.

I think it’s an attempt to distance themselves from the people who “hack” and might come under fire from CND’s or lawsuits against them for releasing keys and stuff.

It’s muddy af.

game is absolute garbage anyway dlc wouildn't help it. it's the worst lego game yet you don't even search the map for unlockables anymore just open a chest and get something unlocked by chance. all the bricks are pretty much out in the open or behind something exploration is pretty much non existent now. you don't even play mini games to unlock shit anymore. so glad i never paid actual $ for it :creep:

I haven't seen the movie; do the 2007 agents and nexo nights appear in it?
If not: then it's probably a leftover from another lego game, maybe lego worlds. There are all the people listed in the file. That would fit with the monster part, too.

/edit
I'm 95% sure that the "DLC" stuff is from lego worlds.
