Law & Order - What would you do?

Well, let's pretend you are found to be a witness or to have information related to a crime(Not being involved in it, just meaning to have certain information for the Cops) which you are really scared of what could happen to you if your testify against the people how actually did the crime. If you where in a situation like that and your friends, family, and everything you know are in danger what would you do?Would you risk everything for the sake of society or would you live to suffer pangs of conscience because of what you new what's wrong?
