Case in point: my new avatar.

Just wanted to see how it looked.

Also: It's just a coincidence my curtains match the forum so well! Honest!

Actually I would like to see some of the stuff, mulph. I didn't know there was a whole style of art for this.

And I tried LEDs before, the only one I got good results with was blue.

Find out how to set your camera to a longer exposure. I thought my crappy little digital camera didn't have the setting, but it did. So just find out, it could be buried in some menu. Anyways, set it to how ever long you want. If its bright out though, longer exposures will just turn out white (more light gets let in). Use a tripod to make everything crystal clear except whatever moves. Experiment. The ones I made up above were done by actually tossing the camera in the air, and using light from lamps, etc.

okay there's also a brush on that one.

but what science is saying is correct.
basically you camera is going to "see" anything that the light touches. but it will also see the light itself if you point a flashlight towards the lens. if you move fast enough and don't really let the light touch you (wear black) you should be able to get lots of cool effects.

i have some more, and when i get around to it i'll show em to y'all

Wow, all of these look cool. I wonder how it would turn out with an InfraRed filter and some IR LEDs...

I think I'll try that sometime this week.
