Hardware Largest capacity SD card Wii can recognize?

With the prices of SD cards dropping daily, I was thinking of picking up a large capacity card (for a heck of a lot less than the Wii branded SanDisk cards). Any one know what the largest capacity the Wii will recognize for expansion cards?

It is 2GB but you may be able to use 4GB SD cards that are not SDHC compliant. (SD 2.0)

SD cards run on the FAT file system which i think only supports files sizes of up to 4gb? i dont know. Someone confirm

FAT supports up to 2 GB

you can format SD with FAT32, which supports up to 8TiB device sizes and 4GiB file sizes.
