Laptop doesn't give (almost) any sign of life, can I fix it?

So some months ago the laptop of my little brother decided to install some updates of Windows 7, and then when it rebooted it decided not to fucking work at all.
Now when I try to power it on the only thing that does is turn on the power led, nothing more, screen completely black without light (as if it doesn't turn on), no HDD nor fan spinning sound at all, it's completely silent.

Since this laptop has very shitty specs (specially that 1Gb of RAM ._.) I've decided to install Xubuntu on it, but I can't because everything I tried to revive it hasn't worked.
What I've tried so far without success is:
-Leaving it turned on for 5 hours
-Removing the battery for 5 hours and then trying to turn it on again
-Trying to get into BIOS (I can't get into it no matter what key I press)
-Trying to run a linux distro via USB
-Trying to run Hiren's Boot and Trinity Rescue Kit via USB

Is there any way I can revive this laptop or is it dead for good?

Damn, is dead for sure.
Perhaps, try with another combination.

If this fails, check your RAM memory and see if replacing it solves the problem.

If that fails, check the cooler.

If all of these fails, try to boot Windows from an external disk.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I had a pc that booted bios with F10 and sometimes with TAB + Control + F2

I have yet to open it, I have to remove some rubber thingys and those are pretty difficult to remove for me.
Also I can't use any CD/DVDs at all since I don't have any Windows/Linux DVDs and the laptop doesn't have any CD/DVD drive (And I don't have any blank DVDs to burn an iso image of Linux on it)

No, I meant a USB with a copy of Windows.
I once installed Windows 7 Professional just by using a (literally) non existent CD and a pirate copy of Windows on my USB.

Opening a laptop isn't that hard. Just be careful with the keyboard, and static.

Hmmm, ok I'll try a Windows Bootable-USB.
Also I know how to deal with an opened laptop, I've done several practises on class :P (It's just those damn rubber things, they're really really hold on tight on this laptop)

Okay dude.
Just remember, if you manage to get into the BIOS you'll be able to restore it.

Also, forgot to ask:
Does the "turned on" light stays turned on?
Or is like an electronic device with low charge? That turns on but shuts down for lacking energy.

Not saying that your battery is the thing causing you troubles.

But if the screen stays black while the "turned on" light stays on, it May be one me these three:
- Ram Memory needs replacement.
- Video Card doesn't work.
- Coolers are not working properly.

It stays on until I force power off the laptop

Okay, for some reason my reply wasn't posted.
Here I go again.

If you can see the screen where you're supposed to see the Lap's Brand, then your Ram Memory might be failing.

If you can't see a single thing, it's probably your Video Card.

Nope, as I said, the screen is completely black and shows no light at all as if the laptop wasn't powered on

Just do as I suggest you.
Hope I'm wrong, and someone else can tell you more about possible solutions.

Gotta go, I haven't slept in more than 30 hours.

Good luck.
May the Game begin.

I made a Windows 7 autoboot USB and it still does the same, so I have to open it and see what is wrong (Also I don't have any other video card so what can I do?)

A lot of lower end laptops are notorious for having a crap BIOS. Google the brand and how to reflash the BIOS from a USB provided the OEM released firmware for it.

That might be the problem, once I get home I'll google that

What happens if you unplug the HDD and then turn the laptop on?
I have yet to open this thing since I don't have too much spare time these days

If it looks like it isn't even turned on, the battery could be dead. Do you have anyway of testing it? A multimeter maybe?
Battery doesn't seem the problem here since I can power it on with or without battery and it still does the same
