The bootstrap is upgradable since the first ez5 (white sticker), you probably mean the core update (xilinx firmware) which is upgradable only on ez5i.
Here i wonder which update is done. If it's just a bootloader/bootstrap update then something is missing to compare with the ez5i ...

It's not such a big deal and AK team isn't very "reactive".

Tested the update on my Acekard 2i HW 81, other languages work now. [IMG]
I was using English anyway but staying up to date is always a good idea.

The thing which is important for me, how long will it take to apply this changes to HWID 44? Because a lot of users bought acekard2i and dsi when it came out, so they got the older HWID.

No shadowboss, nothing - I'm also waiting for it and looking on the acekard page every day! But you can use the tool of stormworm, I uploaded in the download section. It applys a choosen language to a lot of games. There are only a few games in which the language can't be set this way.

This is only a speculation, but I think it is much harder to apply those changes to HWID 44, otherwise they had released it with HWID 81.

Hope they will fix it soon! [IMG]

    You're right.
Unfortunately, it takes a month for the HW81 update to be released, you probably wait much more for a "possible" HW44 update.

Let's hope that it is possible, or they will have a lot of problems with angry customers! [IMG]

Seeing as "they" seem to be "using" AKAIO (as-in: too few updates/relying on community), it's pretty pathethic.
"There're two HWID of AK2i. We're working on the update file for HWID "44". Please be patient."

9 days later, still nothing. Makes you wonder how much "DSi firmware"-proof this card will be. Hell, if it weren't for AKAIO I wouldn't even have bought this card.

Oh well, I chose one, so I'll have to bare it I guess. It's still a good card imo, but I guess it won't survive for long (read: I'll prob need another card to run backups of DSi games when I've got too many too carry around ... then again, I kinda figured as much. I just hope I can still use my NDS backups when I do get a DSi/need one because of many new games/some good homebrew.)
