Hacking Language of the game doesn't change even with Luma Locale Switcher

I hope I'm in the right place here. I'm sorry if it's wrong. I'm kinda new to the whole 3DS hacking thing. Yesterday I downloaded "Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask" to my 3ds, and it works perfectly, but my problem is the language. It's in English, but I prefer to play the game in German. The thing is, the region and the language of my 3ds are already Germany/German. Today I downloaded Luma Locale Switcher and changed the region and language for the game to Europe/German, but the game is still in English. Does anyone have a clue what the problem could be? I don't know which other informations are helpful here, so if you all need specific information, I can provide them (hopefully).

Did you download the US or Euro version of the game? The locale switcher can't add a language to a game if the game doesn't contain that language.

Layton games do not include all languages. You need a copy of the game from Germany in order to have German in that game.

Yes you need the version named Professor Layton und die Maske der Wunder

They usually do.

They usually do, but the Layton games have a lot of cut scenes and audio. The cartridge would have to be a larger (more expensive) one to cram the languages in.
