I think this is pretty pointless. Just wait for flashcart makers to make a new firmware.

What about the R4? There is no "maker" anymore technically.

And this is when you get an Acekard or Cyclo, whichever supports SS/HG.

I might, but for the time being I'm just borrowing my friend's old R4 because he is using an Acekard. In fact, I'm borrowing my sister's DSL, because she hasn't used it in a while and I don't have one. I don't feel like ordering from some sketchy Canadian/Chinese site yet, although I will most likely. My point is that this kind of a "fix" isn't useless to everyone, and you should be happy that a community member is willing to put forward time and effort into making it.

It may be easy for you who live in the USA, but in other countries (specially here in Brazil) games are VERY expensive, they cost almost the same as a console over there (and so does the flashcards, and those we have to import because they're not sold here).
So it's not so simples as "buy the game" or "buy a new flashcard", I also have a PS3, if I start to buy retail games for both it and the DS, I'll go totally broke.

The R4 still has YSmenu, I don't know why everyone is just giving up on it.

Ok, ysmenu was just the dstt firmware on r4,,,Ashley was the team that updated DSTT. Now that she left, DSTT is dead, which means YSmenu is kinda useless, which means your r4 is dead...

Oh man...I really hope this works out...BTW I think the custom logos are WAY better than the originals...And I don't know if making 3 separate patches is necessary...It's only a logo you see it for 2 seconds and then you start the game...XD

people really need to just get modern flashcarts... acecard and cyclo are the ones to follow, and EDGE is never far behind cyclo.

Seriously, this has been asked and answered LOTS of times. Yes, the save files are compatible.

Finally, someone with at least half a brain appeared. It was obvious a while ago that there is never going to be an AP patch for the USA version, so this is the next best thing.

Actually, Team Cyclops made it almost completely playable. I haven't had an issue yet.

That's not patching, that's a firmware update. Patch means fixing the game, not fixing the software.
