Lameboy DS v0.1 - GB/GBC emu

Emulator in early stages

Nutki has released an early version of a GB and GBC emulator for the DS, it's pre-patched with DLDI drivers for the R4. You can download it locally below.

Hi all at DS Scene

About 5 years ago I have wrote partial gameboy emulator in C purely for fun, so it never gone public. To try some NDS programming I have just ported it NDS. As there is no DLDI emu realesed for NDS I decided to add support for it and release here. Rom selection menu is based on work done for StellaDS by spathi-wa from r4ds forums.

Some emulator (mis)features:

- no sound emulation

- no or incorrect serial/ir/dma/cpu emulation

- no realtime sync, game will go as fast as it can

- full speed for games that use less than about 50% of GB CPU

However some games are playable anyway.

How to use:

- copy rom files to /lameboy/ dir on your flash card

- run lameboy.nds and select rom

- in game keys:

-- L+R - back to rom select

-- Y - switch fullscreen upscaling on/off

-- X - save persistant ram to .sav file

In response to the author of this program, great!! I need a way to play tetris blast and Links awakening without having to purchase a slot-2.

For those wondering I tested TetrisBlast but it has massive errors and isn't even playable. I doubt Link's Awakening is any better.

Damn you Nintendo for not having GBC backwards compatability!

I dream of a perfect emulator for GBC and NGPC.

hhmm.... There is a GBA loader for R4... doesn't that mean you can play GBA games on it? And would a GBA loader also support GBC, etc or are GBA and GBC different.

tried out the 3 zelda games on GBC
I could only get links awakening to work, and its almost flawless, very very minor graphical glitches, main problem is no sound

I'd say its still worth downloading, and a cool addition is you can press Y to enlarge the screen

sigh wish this was better than goomba, for some reason goomba only plays a select few of the gb/gbc titles it claims it does

But boy does it play them well....

Full Speed Link's Awakening DX, Both of the Oracles Titles, and fullspeed Shantae.

The oracle titles only have minor text glitches.
