Nearest filter
1535648411-no-filter.png

Above nothing just composite tv...real famicom output
Look in fullscreen no artefact in fullscreen 720p on my gpdxd nintendo switch 720p....

Gensis above ( filter linear X1) overlay apertureX4
1535649319-nearest-x2.png

The same picture in nearestX2 look at the grass, or the hair...
On a small 5p screen of 720p the rendering is fantastic, looks like a crt, and the switch has the same resolution in 6.2 inches, perfect...hate that the headphone and speaker sound is operational...

Yes I hope so, it would be incredible, more than bought a battery that has a better autonomy, and lakka will be the top of the nomad emulation

I'm an air traffic controller, not a coder so this may sound silly. Is there no way to reverse engineer the video and sound drivers that the switch os uses and compile them for linux?

it must not be that simple otherwise it would be done by now.... i read somewhere devs even fried their switches trying to get sound working LOL

Does the new way to boot Hekate -> Lakka still has the black screen issue for you guys ?
I still do not get this lakka to boot, I had probably around 3 successfull boots before hekate and not one correct boot since the new way to boot this.
It always stays at the black screen and I have to force a shutdown with long pressing the Power Button.
If there is any trick how you guys get a more stable boot behaviour I would be really interesting to get some hints.
It is very frustrating to always boot to a black screen.

Currently I have the following setup:
New SD Card with SX boot.dat, lakka folder and booloader folder in the root of the sd card
I succesfully boot to SX Pro bootmenu, choose hekate 4.0 as external Payload, and go the way to select Lakka entry

My minimal hekate.ini looks like this:

[config]
autoboot=0
bootwait=5
verification=2

{---- Miscellaneous ---}
[Stock]
{ }

You cant use SX OS to boot to Hekate, and then Lakka. You have to only boot through the Hekate 4.0 payload, and then boot to Lakka.

You can do what he is saying ... You just use SX pro dongle get to boot menu choose launch other payloads and launch hekate profit.

See my above post, I did it for the first time tonight. Get the tunGER SD zip, that will have the hekate payload on it. Put that, along with the lakka files on your sd card. Boot SX OS, select custom payload, load hekate. From inside the hekate payload you will have the ability to launch the lakka payload.

If you have time can you make a video , I have sx pro, but I have no idea what tunGER SD zip is

As soon as you open the zip, you should see hekate_ctcaer_4.0.bin. You need that and the bootloader folder. Put them on your sd card. Copy the contents of the lakka stable to the root of your sd card. Load up the hekate payload however you will, go to more config (or maybe it's more ini, I can't recall exactly. Right under payloads option), and select lakka. That should be it.

With a modchip installation, rebooting into Lakka would be a dream. The only thing preventing me from wanting to do so is a lack of sound!
